About Christina Louise Hypnotherapy
I’m Christina, and my journey into hypnotherapy began through personal experience rather than a traditional career path. After many years working in office environments, and later running a domestic cleaning business following COVID, I reached a point where I knew I needed a change. As I got older, the physical demands of my work were no longer sustainable, and I wanted a profession that aligned more closely with helping others and supporting long-term wellbeing.
Hypnotherapy has played a life-changing role in my own life. Twenty years ago, I experienced its benefits for pain management, and more recently, hypnotherapy supported me in achieving and maintaining sobriety. I am now proudly over one year sober from alcohol. I have also quit smoking and vaping, lost 50 pounds and kept it off for over four years, reversed pre-diabetes and high blood pressure, and no longer rely on prescription painkillers.
These changes inspired me to retrain completely and give back in a meaningful way. I qualified as a Solution-Focused Hypnotherapist through CPHT Clifton in Bristol and am a member of both the National Council of Hypnotherapy and the Association for Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy. I have additional specialist training in alcohol addiction and sobriety and have chosen to focus my work on helping people overcome addictions.
I firmly believe that I can only truly give back what I understand myself. Alongside addiction support, I also help clients with anxiety, depression, phobias, and a wide range of stress-related issues. Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy does not require revisiting past traumas; instead, it focuses on moving forward using positive, practical methods that are proven to work.
I work mainly online via Zoom, offering flexible sessions wherever you are. I also provide in-person sessions from my therapy room in Chipping Sodbury, South Gloucestershire. My approach is always non-judgemental—there is no guilt, no shame—just compassionate, solution-focused support to help you overcome obstacles and build a healthier, more balanced life.
